Konstantina Kostou is a Health Psychologist MSc and Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist (License number: 16-03-2017/5980, Prefecture of Athens.
She completed her postgraduate studies in Health Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire, UK. As part of the postgraduate programme she completed her thesis, which focused on the role of self-efficacy in quality of life in patients with psoriasis.
In addition, she has specialized in Behavior Therapy for Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, provided by ''ΘΕ.ΣΥ'', in collaboration with the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens and Ε.ΠΙ.ΨY.
At the same time, she is completing her training in the four-year postgraduate program in Cognitive Psychotherapies "Ioannis Papakostas", which is implemented by the Research University Institute of Mental Health in collaboration with the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens. Finally, she has completed the annual Postgraduate Seminar in Clinical Psychopathology & "Panagiotis Oulis" at the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens.
Professional
Training
Regarding her professional training, she has worked at the Department of Interdisciplinary Psychiatry of the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, while she has also been involved in psychotherapeutic intervention in patients with dermatopathies of the
Dermatology Outpatient Clinics of the 401 GSA. Today, following her field of specialization, she is a scientific collaborator of the Special Clinic for Anxiety Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder of the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens at the Aeginitio Hospital.
She maintains a private office, where she deals extensively with the psychotherapeutic treatment of Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Psychosomatic Disorders, Emotional Disorders and Interpersonal Relationship Management issues. She is also a lecturer in the two-year post-graduate seminar on "Behavioral Treatment of Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive and Post-Traumatic Disorder" at the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens and the E.P.P.Psy. He regularly participates in conferences and scientific publications, while he also writes psychological articles for the general public and educational-clinical material.
